Texan punk rockers Riverboat Gamblers have signed to Kartel partnered Xtra Mile Recordings to release their sixth studio album, 'The Wolf You Feed', released on 26th June. The album is the bands first with Xtra Mile and sees them teaming up with Grammy-Award winning engineer Stuart Sikes (The White Stripes, Cat Power) to create a darker record but still one jammed full of hooks with a grittier, less polished sound that reflects the true spirit of the band.
The album features contributions from Mark Ryan (Marked Men, Mind Spiders) and Sean Kirkpatrick (The Paper Chase) and according to frontman Mike Wiebe, perfectly captures the era when punk rock and old rock ‘n’ roll converged - “edgy and intense but still catchy so that people could dance to it if they wanted to”.
Riverboat Gamblers have a series of June/July tour dates lined up supporting brash celtic punk rockers Flogging Molly and American hardcore punk band, The Bronx, with more dates set to be confirmed.
