New Yorker Neal Casal released his debut record ‘Fade Away Diamond Time’ in 1995 to much critical acclaim, and has been gaining admiration and fans ever since. His intimate songwriting and lyrical guitar work have become the foundation of his career over nine solo records, and also the key to his success.
Currently finishing up his tenth solo record with noted producer Thom Monahan (Devendra Banhart, Vetiver, Pernice Brothers, Gary Louris), Casal has kept the winning elements of previous work – his strong yet understated vocals, his acoustic-driven melodies - but amplified and expanded arrangements using complex sonic layers, resulting in a new, widescreen sound that is the culmination of this prolific songwriter's multifaceted catalog.
